Career Possibilities
The heat and frost insulation industry has something for everyone. If you love working with your hands, you can spend your career working as a journeyperson. With experience and additional training, you can become a heat and frost insulation estimator, or move into supervisory roles, including those of site foreman, general foreman or project manager. Being a heat and frost insulator also gives you an opportunity to take charge of your own career and become a contractor.
As a heat and frost insulator, your skills are extremely transferable. If you want to move, you can take your skills with you. If you successfully complete the Interprovincial Standards Program (Red Seal Program), you'll be qualified to work as a heat and frost insulator anywhere in Canada. For more information on Red Seal certification, visit the Apprenticeship Opportunities section of this Web site.
